Impact of a Narcissist Parent or Partner
Impact of a Narcissist Parent or Partner
Those with a parent who struggles with substance abuse or a personality disorder often find themselves drawn to Narcissists. This workshop is designed to help you understand a Narcissist and the layered narcissistic behaviors you’ve tried to navigate. Without clear, objective knowledge of narcissistic behaviors and their function, it’s easy to fall into the painful and impossible goal of trying to connect to a Narcissist.
Recognizing the types of Narcissists, the different behaviors of each type, and how to mitigate the impact on they have on you is crucial. Narcissists gaslighting, rewriting history, deception, entitlement, and intense need to be special are both overt and covert. Resulting in you doubting yourself, your own perceptions, your memory, and your self-worth. Grappling with narcissistic behaviors undermines any positive feelings you have towards yourself and stops you from maintaining other strong, healthy relationships.
This workshop will focus on how to:
· Recognize overt and covert narcissistic behaviors
· Avoid being drawn to these behaviors
· Prevent them from undermining your sense of self
· Learn to protect yourself & disconnect from their behaviors
