ADHD Intermediate Level: Attracting DIstractions - Handling Distractions
This workshop will give an understanding of the innate executive functioning challenges of those struggling with ADHD. We will explore rejection sensitivity, perpetuating negative self-talk, depression, self-sabotage and anxiety. We will then focus on techniques and hacks to use in effectively addressing and handling distractions.
You will learn how to:
· Understand the complex challenges of executive dysfunction
· Recognize the part rejection sensitivity plays in relationships
Understand the strengths, creativity & amazing problem solving skills ADHDers provide
· Effective hacks to help handle the myriad of life distractions
This is for anyone who has ADHD, knows someone with ADHD, or is in a relationship with someone with ADHD and wants to better understand the challenges it creates. This workshop will give a brief overview of the overt struggles of ADHD. We’ll take an in-depth look at the covert aspects, impact, and behaviors of those with ADHD.
The vast majority of people have a belief that ADHD is just having a poor memory, often losing your keys, and not paying attention when you should be paying attention. Those who struggle with ADHD will often have these same beliefs about ADHD. This is an intermediate-level workshop that will explain executive dysfunction, what it is and what it looks like in real life. We’ll demonstrate rejection sensitivity and how it plays out in everyday situations. In addition to looking at effective techniques and hacks for handling distractions created by ADHD. We will also develop an understanding of the strengths, creativity and unique problem solving those with ADHD bring to the table.
Cost: $55 per person, includes 5 CEUs
